About Us

Stacey Haber, described by Rolling Stone as one of the music industry’s leading experts, has spent decades working across music, law, media and production in London and New York.

Her legal career began under Mark Stephens CBE at Stephens Innocent, followed by in-house roles with record labels and music publishers on both sides of the Atlantic. Since then, she has advised everyone from emerging artists to multiplatinum stars, global brands and major music companies on rights, deals and strategy — including, memorably, negotiating a client’s appearance on The Simpsons.

Stacey founded SHHH Media, Inside Baseball Music Publishing, FoxPin Artist Management and The Music Firm, and co-founded AYO Music Group and IAFAR, the international organisation dedicated to neighbouring rights (the most important untapped revenue stream in today’s music industry).

Alongside her music career, Stacey has produced theatre and film in the UK and US, co-presents Girls Talk on Sky Showcase and the podcast Two Gone Blondes, and hosts the YouTube channel Sex, Food & Rock n Roll.

She is also a published author and playwright, with work spanning fiction, music, sport and children’s books, including The Man From Verona, co-written with David Hofberg.

When Stacey isn’t producing, negotiating, writing or broadcasting, she acts — with stage credits in New York, London, at the Edinburgh Fringe, and on film.

Stacey is Asymmetric Media’s Chief Legal Officer.

David Hofberg began his career making music videos in the UK before moving to the US after his first screenplay was optioned. Since then, he has written and directed work in New York, London and at the Edinburgh Fringe, alongside work as an author and photographer.

His audio work includes narrating a children’s story (Señorita Petita, Mr. Woo & His Book Full Of Wonders) co-written with Stacey, featuring original music by Greg Hawkes of The Cars.

Across film, theatre, audio and photography, David’s work seeks to entertain, while exploring the truths, contradictions and absurdities of being human.

David is Asymmetric Media’s CEO.
